Homemade Killer Shrimps

We had these awesome shrimps on our babymoon at the Killer Shrimp in Santa Barbara. They sit in a sauce/broth that you mop up with a side of french bread.

KT likes them better than Boiling Crab shrimps so he decided to make some at home. They turned out so great, I think they actually taste like the real deal.

This is our modification of Killer Shrimp Copycat recipes we’ve found online – modified to be quick and easy with ingredients that should be readily available in your local grocery store.
Quick and Easy Killer Shrimp Copycat Recipe
2 tablespoons Rosemary
2 teaspoons Thyme
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Celery Seed
2 teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
3 cloves Garlic
3 cans of Vegetable Broth (14.5 oz each)
1 bottle of Clam Juice (8 oz) (this is what we used)
3 oz Tomato Paste
1/2 cup Butter
1 lb Shrimp, Deveined with Shells on
1) Mix all the ingredients together (without the Shrimp) in a pot and simmer on low heat for at least 2 hours.
2) Add the Shrimp to the simmering broth for a few minutes until it is fully cooked and pink.
3) Serve the Shrimp in a bowl with plenty of broth and bread for dipping.
We invited a few family members over to try out the dish and I got an impromptu birthday cake for KT (It’s mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. SO GOOD!).

Happy Birthday Love!  I hope you’re having an awesome day.
